Canadian Football League Division Semi-Final Picks

Bombers Vs. Argos

The Bombers won 2 out of 3 meetings between the teams but have a QB with a ankle sprain
and DT (Doug Brown) with a bad shoulder. The Argos are in a mini-slump at home.
Charles Roberts has big games against the Argos but it will be how Glenn plays that will
decide this game. Very Hard game to call.

Riders Vs. Stamps

The Stamps are very solid at home (8-1) but are comming off a bye. The Riders are a hit
and miss team. This will be Danny B's last game as a Rider Coach.

Canadian Football League quarterback signs with the Brigade

Former Kansas State quarterback Michael Bishop is headed back to the Kansas City area with the Brigade, which announced his signing Tuesday.
Besides his popularity as a K-State standout, Bishop also brings Arena Football League credentials to Kansas City. He’s the league’s only player to rush for more than 100 yards in a game and played for the ArenaBowl champion Chicago Rush last season.
With the Brigade, Bishop will compete with returning QBs Raymond Philyaw and Chris Sanders and former Chiefs QB Jonathan Quinn for the starting job.
“It’s just going to be a great feeling,” Bishop said. “I had my best years of my career in Manhattan, Kan. These fans really love football in the area, too. It’s almost like a homecoming for me.”
In two seasons at K-State, Bishop helped the Wildcats to the 1997 Fiesta Bowl title and just shy of the Big 12 championship in 1998. He finished second for the Heisman Trophy that year.
Bishop is in the middle of the Canadian Football League playoffs now as the backup quarterback for the Toronto Argonauts. They play in the conference semifinals Saturday.
“It’s a week-to-week thing up here with the playoffs,” Bishop said. “As soon as I find out the situation here and the season is over, I’ll probably be in Kansas within two or three days.”
