Canadian Football League Week # 13 Picks

Stamps Vs. Eskimos

The Grey Cup champs just keep finding ways to lose rather then win. This game is
incredibly huge for any aspirations of making the playoffs for Edmonton. The Stamps
are on a roll but give the Eskimos one last chance.

TiCats Vs. Argos
The Cats actually battled the Argos well for three quarters last week. Still no offence.

Riders Vs. Blue Bombers

Last week The Riders destroyed the Bombers. The Bombers have vowed changes and
started working out with pads during practice. A big crowd is expected for the Bango Bowl.

Former Canadian Football League QB added to practice roster

The Kansas City Chiefs announced Monday that the club has added former B.C. Lions quarterback Casey Printers to its practice squad.
The move comes after Printers was cut by the Chiefs on Saturday after a mediocre pre-season. He had signed a three-year contract with the Chiefs in January. Printers' rights would have reverted to the Lions next week had he not been added to the Chiefs' practice squad.

Riders take first of back to back Canadian Football League contests from Bombers

Kerry Joseph returned from a two-game layoff by running for two touchdowns and passing for two more as the Saskatchewan Roughriders routed the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 39-12 Sunday.
Saskatchewan improved to 6-5 and a share of second place in the West Division with Calgary (6-4), pending the Stampeders' game today against the Edmonton Eskimos (3-6).
Winnipeg (5-6) lost its fourth straight, slipping to third in the East behind the Montreal Alouettes (7-4) and Toronto Argonauts (6-5).
Saskatchewan enjoyed quarter-leads of 14-4, 28-12 and 32-12.
Joseph, back at starting quarterback after resting a bruised knee, ran for one and 10-yard touchdowns to finish off a pair of 75-yard drives in the first quarter.
The first drive was aided by two Winnipeg penalties for roughing the passer and pass interference that totalled 43 yards, while the second covered its last 57 yards on three running plays by Kenton Keith (22 yards), Shermar Bracey (25) and Joseph.
Joseph registered two more touchdowns with his arm in the second quarter, connecting on a 38-yard bomb to Corey Grant and a shovel pass that Keith turned into a 31-yard major with 31 seconds remaining in the half.
Between those scores, Winnipeg's Milt Stegall caught an eight-yard pass from Kevin Glenn for his 134th career touchdown, three behind the CFL record shared by George Reed and Mike Pringle.
Joseph completed 12 of 27 passes for 207 yards and ran seven times for 48 yards. Keith continued his solid play of late with 89 yards on 15 rushes and 58 yards on five receptions.
Glenn was held to 168 yards on 12-for-29 passing and threw the game's only interception.
Bracey put the game out of reach with a six-yard touchdown run, early in the fourth quarter.
Luca Congi converted all five Roughriders majors, punted a 57-yard single and kicked a 22-yard field goal. Congi was wide on a 43-yard attempt in the fourth quarter, ending his streak of successful field goal attempts at 21 straight, which ties him for the fifth-longest streak in CFL history, seven short of the CFL record set by Saskatchewan's Dave Ridgway in 1993.
Troy Westwood kicked a 37-yard field goal, a convert and two singles for the Blue Bombers.
Extra seating installed for two upcoming concerts by the Rolling Stones swelled the crowd to 30,900. The teams meet again Sunday in Winnipeg, where up to 15,000 temporary seats added for this year's Grey Cup game will be available.
