Carter moves to Canadian football League
Former Cowboys quarterback Quincy Carter signed with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League on Tuesday.
Carter signed a two-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
“This is a great opportunity for me to do what I love best, which is to play football,” Carter said in a statement.
A second-round pick by the Cowboys in the 2001 draft, Carter played three seasons in Dallas and one season with the New York Jets. He did not play in the NFL in 2005.
He threw for 6,337 yards, 32 touchdowns with 37 interceptions in his four-year NFL career.
