Als hold on to veteran Canadian Football League Db

Veteran defensive back Reggie Durden signed a contract for two years plus an option with the Montreal Alouettes on Monday.
The Houston native has been with Montreal since 2001. In five CFL seasons, Durden has 188 tackles and seven interceptions. In 2005, he had one of the best seasons of his career with 54 tackles, and two interceptions for 50 yards and a touchdown.
The Alouettes also signed defensive back Thomas Whitfield of Windsor, Ont., their second-round pick in 2005. Whitfield played at Syracuse University.
Running back Avon Cobourne, who returned kicks for seven games with the Detroit Lions in 2003, also signed.
