The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced today the Rogers Players of Week for Week #2. Rogers Players of the Week are selected for on-field excellence by members of the Canadian football broadcasters. Offensive Player of the Week QB – Kerry Joseph – Saskatchewan Roughriders Calgary Stampeders 8 @ Edmonton Eskimos 49 Highlights / Key Stats: Kerry Joseph completed 17 of 29 passes for 244 yards, one interception and four touchdowns as the Saskatchewan Roughriders defeated the Calgary Stampeders 49-8 at Mosaic Stadium. Joseph added three carries for 34 yards. Runner Up WR – D.J. Flick – Saskatchewan Roughriders Defensive Player of the Week DE – Gavin Walls – Winnipeg Blue Bombers Montreal Alouettes 23 @ Winnipeg Blue Bombers 32 Highlights / Key Stats: In a 32-23 victory over the Montreal Alouettes, Winnipeg Blue Bombers defensive end Gavin Walls recorded five tackles, including two quarterback sacks, and returned one fumble for five yards.
